Maybe it appeared on your phone or computer as 11:11. Or it was the total on a receipt. Or maybe it came across in something you read that included the date 1/1/11 or 11/11/11. In any case, who among us has never seen 1111 in some form or other?
There are many interpretations surrounding this number, which is believed to be the most powerful of the repetitive numbers in numerology (222, 333, 444, etc.).
Here are four:
#1. The 1111 Phenomenon
Does it seem as though you are seeing 1111 a lot more often than you ever have in the past? It’s not just your imagination. It’s a widespread metaphysical occurrence that seems to have taken hold across the earth and during this new millennium.
Famed telepath Uri Geller describes it this way, “I started experiencing this rather bizarre occurrence when I was forty years old. (Geller was born in 1946.)At first, I thought they were coincidences. I would stand with my back to a digital clock and something made me turn around and I would notice that the time would be 11:11. These incidents intensified. I would be checked into hotel rooms on floor 11, room 1111. I started noticing these digits on computers, microwave ovens, cars, documents, etc. I decided to write about it on my website. I was immediately inundated by hundreds of emails from all around the world. Individuals were telling me their own 11:11 stories, almost always saying ‘I thought it only happened to me.’ It is difficult for me to decipher what this is all about but my intuition tells me its positive.”
#2. The Universe’s Alarm Clock:
Whatever yourcircumstance, seeing 1111 got your attention. And that is the most widely believed definition—that it’s a wake-up call from the Universe. An indicator that what you were thinking about just before you saw it could come true if you frame it in a positive way.
It is also believed that when you see these numbers, the gates of opportunity are opening and that you can bring to fruition what you are most hoping for.
As a matter of fact, many will tell you to “make a wish!” when you see it.
It’s even become what some find to be an annoying habit among Snapchat users who display a black background with the digital time when it’s 11:11, with the hope that their crush has a crush on them.
But everyone seems to agree that it’s a powerful and positive number. Some adding that when you see it, it means that everything will be alright.
#3. Time to Manifest Your True Self
Another meaning of 1111 is that it’s a divine message telling you that youare the creator of your own reality, and that you need to make things happen. “Things” being anything you’ve been working toward, thinking about or hoping for. If your current situation is the product of your past thoughts, now’s the time to put your current thoughts into action to get what you truly want out of life. And seeing 1111 means your thoughts can manifest more quickly.
#4. Your Angels are Calling:
Often referred to as Angel Numbers, 1111, 555, 777 and the other repetitive numerals are believed to be our angels’ way of communicating with us; bringing love, protection, guidance and clarity. In other words, your angels are suggesting that you pay greater attention to your thoughts, and most importantly, that you focus on the things you want, and not the things you don’t.
Some say that since the angels can’t talk to us with words, they send their messages via dreams and numbers. So, heed your angels’ calls!

I have been seeing 11:11 for over a year now, and for some time I was seeing other repeating numbers, but now it is just the 1’s and my birthday that I am seeing on a regular basis. Seeing my birthday I interpret as the universe saying “Yes these messages really are intended for you. Pay attention!” At times I find the numbers comforting and at times I find them frustrating. I decided to take the action of starting my own spiritual based business last year, not with the intention of it replacing my career necessarily, but just starting on the path I feel called towards. It seems like I’m hitting a lot of road blocks, however, which in my life has typically meant that the timing is not quite right yet. So when I keep seeing the 11:11’s I sometimes shout to the cosmos “I’m trying! If I’m supposed to be doing something differently, please make that abundantly clear!” With the number messages and just in general, I feel like I am being pulled towards something and it feels really exciting, but I’m also getting really impatient. It’s like I’m on a sling shot and can feel myself being pulled back, but the release is just not happening fast enough!
